This article presents the relevance of Jan Patočka's dissident philosophical perspective to the current world situation. Drawing from his fundamental work, we think from his phenomenological-existential perspective. The aim is to highlight his existential philosophical engagement, the relevance of his critiques of totalitarianism, and his concern about the advancement of a technocracy that threatens human existence. It is argued that the philosophical stance of the philosopher from Prague becomes paradigmatic for the current conjuncture and for authentic philosophical praxis.
