Retraction Policy

Retraction Policy

Retraction is a public tool used to record issues in a published article (Partial Retraction) or to announce its cancellation (Total Retraction), and it is an integral part of the scientific communication system.

The retraction procedure is initiated after a problem is identified. Before the retraction, the Editors will contact the authors to request information about the manuscript in question, giving them the opportunity to defend or correct it, if applicable. Partial or total retractions will be reviewed by the REUFPI Advisory Board and communicated to the authors.

A retraction may be partial, in which case the retracted article will be marked, and the problematic content will be obscured by a black bar, preventing the content from being viewed. In the case of total retraction, the entire article will be removed, and retraction information will be displayed in its place.

Authors who have committed ethical violations in the publication will be barred from submitting new studies to the journal for a period of one year.
