Original Paper

Result of empirical research, experimental or conceptual nature, with rigid and clear method, unpublished results, in-depth discussion and interface with national and international scientific literature, which add values to the health area. Limited to 15 pages, including abstract, tables, pictures and references.

Review Paper

Result of integrative review study, scope review, systematic review with or without meta-analysis or metasynthesis. The method must have been conducted through critical analysis of the results of primary, quantitative or qualitative studies. Its structure should contain: research question, criteria for inclusion and exclusion of studies, sampling/search in the literature, information extracted from selected studies, evaluation of the quality of primary studies, interpretation and presentation of knowledge synthesis. Limited to 20 pages, including abstract, tables, pictures and references.

Experience Report

Description of experiences related to teaching, extension, assistance, management or description of technological innovation products. Its extension is limited to 12 pages, including abstract, tables, pictures and references.

Reflection Paper (Discussion Paper)

Theoretical and critical discussion on a relevant topic for Nursing and related areas. It has an opinionated and reflective character. It should analyze theoretical and/or practical points of view on the subject. Limited to 12 pages, including summary and references.

Protocols

The submission of protocol manuscripts is a valuable practice that allows for the early dissemination of plans for multicenter clinical trials and robust epidemiological studies. These manuscripts must be submitted before data collection is complete, as the goal is to provide transparency and share information about the methodologies to be used, promoting scientific rigor and enabling the scientific community to follow the study's progress. Guidelines for Protocol Development SPIRIT Recommendations: Clinical trial protocols must be developed following the SPIRIT (Standard Protocol Items for Randomized Trials) guidelines. Outcome measures and endpoints. Protocol Registration: Registration is mandatory for clinical trial protocols. For studies conducted in Brazil, registration on REBEC (Brazilian Registry of Clinical Trials) or another recognized clinical trial repository is required.

Case study

Deals with a wide variety of evidence are documentary, artifacts, interviews and observations. Thus, a case study technique can employ single or multiple cases, considering a number of units of analysis.

Letter to the Editor

Intended to discuss articles recently published by the journal, expressing agreement or disagreement on the subject addressed, or report original research and significant scientific findings. Limited to two pages.
