Do “Eu” ao “Nós”
O desenvolvimento da intencionalidade compartilhada e do pensamento objetivo

O objetivo deste artigo é o de apresentar como Michael Tomasello explica, à luz da teoria da evolução, o desenvolvimento da intencionalidade compartilhada e os desdobramentos dela na organização da vida humana e no desenvolvimento de um pensamento objetivo. Na primeira parte do artigo, será abordada a formação da intencionalidade compartilhada, tanto do ponto de vista do indivíduo quanto do ponto de vista da espécie. A seguir, veremos como essa capacidade permite o desenvolvimento da habilidade para uma “leitura de mentes” e para a capacidade de metarrepresentar. Estas habilidades nos permitem atribuir intenções a terceiros e ver o mundo pela perspectiva de outro indivíduo. Por fim, veremos que o desenvolvimento destas habilidades possibilitou o desenvolvimento de um pensamento objetivo, ampliou a complexidade das capacidades humanas já existentes (como a linguagem) e possibilitou novas e elevadas formas de sociabilidade e organização, com o desenvolvimento da cultura e da moral.
