Abstract

This study investigated the impacts of the search for instant dopamine on the academic performance of students in the integrated high school and technical computer science course at IFMA - Campus Caxias. The objective was to analyze the effects of excessive use of digital technologies on the concentration, learning, and well-being of students. The research used a mixed methodological approach, combining literature review, questionnaires, cognitive tests, and a behavioral modulation plan with 10 students. Data analysis was performed indirectly and correlationally, verifying the association between screen time and cognitive performance results. The results confirmed the participants' extreme digital engagement (average of 8 hours per day) and validated the effect of the ludic loop on the distortion of time perception. The study demonstrated that simply restricting use is ineffective without the conscious replacement of habits (behavioral vacuum). It concludes that the objectives were achieved, providing a solid foundation for the creation of effective pedagogical interventions in digital health.
