Entre salas, gabinetes e livros: trajetória docente, gestora e intelectual da professora Conceição Carvalho na Universidade Federal do Piauí (1974-1995)

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to interpret evidence and memories related to the educator Maria da Conceição Sousa de Carvalho, focusing on her performance as a teacher, manager and intellectual at the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI), within the time frame between 1974 and 1995. From this perspective, the study is guided by the following question: how was the trajectory of professor Conceição Carvalho at UFPI, between 1974 and 1995? The delimitation of this study has as its starting point the entry of the professor at UFPI, in 1974 - as a temporary professor, through a contract, later becoming permanent, through deliberation and framing of the institution's Rectory -, until now of his retirement in 1995, after more than twenty years of service. The general objective of the research was to interpret the documentary evidence and memories related to Professor Conceição Carvalho, regarding her teaching performance and as a manager, highlighting both her in-service training and her intellectual production at UFPI, in the period stipulated for analysis. Through this work, it was learned that the teacher's trajectory followed advances in academic aspects, physical structure and the circularity of pedagogical knowledge produced at UFPI.
