Abstract

The present article is a bibliographical research whose objective is to show the scientific importance of the glacial striated pavement geosite, located in Calembre, Brejo do Piauí, approaching three main aspects: initially the characterization of the area, followed by a brief explanation about the scientific relevance of the outcrop of glacial stria, a survey of the main challenges for the preservation of this heritage. Finally there is a reflection on the actions that have been considered to ensure the protection of this geosite.
