The study deals with the struggle of quilombola women regarding the violation of basic rights and the guarantee of public policies. The methodology is qualitative, bibliographic review and field research. The analyzes point to the relevance of women in leadership roles, such as in Quilombo Marinheiro, in the struggle and local ancestry.
