O EQUILÍBRIO ENTRE O COMUM E O SINGULAR EM HANNAH ARENDT NO CONTEXTO DA VIDA DO ESPÍRITO

This article explores the balance between the common and the singular in the life of the spirit, focusing on the faculties of thinking and judging. Arendt rejects the view of thought as a solitary activity, emphasizing its connection to the world. Although philosophy, particularly since Plato, has followed a path where thought is conceived without ties to the world of relationships, figures such as Socrates, Kant, and Jaspers exemplify the perspective advocated by Arendt, in which thinking does not detach itself from communication and engagement with others. Thus, in Arendt's framework, the life of the spirit does not oppose the common world but rather engages with it and can help sustain it.
