Comparabilidade e a Troca de Objetos de Estudo na Antropologia

Abstract

In this essay, questions about comparability and the exchange of objects of study in Anthropology are
presented. I begin exposing the rhetorical-argumentative nature of the ethnographic text, pointing out
the continuities and similarities between objects of study depend less on their inherent qualities than on
the criteria stipulated and predictable to the problems, questions and research clippings. The discussion
about the exchange of objects is initiated by a remarkable professional event, the admission interview for
the doctoral course of which I am a part. Then, the ethnography developed for the master's degree and
the research project for the doctorate, which is currently underway, are presented more closely. A
common problematic is extracted from these works, synthesized by the concept of "unbearability of
everyday/ordinary life", and provides the parameters that a bibliography is used to discuss the problem
of comparability, anthropological writing and the exchange of objects of study.
