Imersão e emoções no campo antropológico
algumas reflexões

Through this work I seek to present some questions and concerns regarding more immersive field research in Anthropology. Starting from a possible dialogue between the authors Foot-White (2005), Kulick (2008), Jackson (2010) and Rojo (2015 and 2010), I focus on the emotions that they express having felt in their research fields when deciding to be in continuous and prolonged contact with their interlocutors, comparing this form of fieldwork with the study I developed previously, in another area of the human sciences. I seek to demonstrate how the interpretations regarding immersion in the cosmological world of the “other”, exposed by these authors and their notions of alterity, put me in a reflective state regarding my own research and my willingness to expose my body and my feelings, in order to do science. Influenced to think about my own personal limitations as a researcher, such conceptions helped me to decide between a more or less immersive field.
