Intersecções entre gênero, emoção e humor na televisão brasileira

Abstract

This article arises from a dialogue between two studies: “Investigations on humiliation as a social phenomenon: theoretical, epistemological and empirical bases” and “The construction of gender in youth: an analysis of serial productions in the subjectivation of the self”. Its central objective is to highlight that the hegemonic mainstream of brazilian humor contains social humiliation as its central core, mainly aimed at female and transsexual bodies. The text seeks, therefore, to point out the points of intersection of the study of anthropology and sociology of emotions, together with social humiliation and gender, taking as an empirical basis of analysis certain humorous cultural products.
