The journal claims also to be a place for serious debates concerning teaching philosophy at its several levels, by aiming to improve its practice through the critical discussion of relevant alternatives to the subject. PROCESS OF EVALUATION BY BLIND PEERS

Each submitted article will be evaluated by at least one referee and, in the case of an opinion that is not conclusive, will be evaluated by a second referee; in case of disagreement in the opinions of both, will be sent to a third referee to issue a new opinion. The articles will be evaluated without the identification of the author in the double-blind referee system.

The author (s) should be holders of a doctorate degree, preferably in philosophy; articles of Ph.D. students in philosophy may be accepted as long as they are co-authored with the thesis supervisor or co-supervisor or with a post-graduate philosophy professor.

The standard time for completion of an evaluation is at least 120 (one hundred and twenty) days, since all evaluators' work is free of charge, and therefore depends on their availability. However, this term can be extended due to the circumstances of each work submitted and the subject matter.

Publications of works by researchers from the UFPI will be restricted to a maximum of 20% of the articles of each issue of the journal, and these same researchers will only be able to publish a new article in Pensando after 18 (eighteen) months of the last work published in the magazine. This restriction does not apply to reviews and bibliographical notes.

In the case of the publication of works by researchers outside the UFPI, the same author will only have new work published in the journal after one (1) year in relation to the number of his last publication. This restriction does not apply to reviews and bibliographical notes.

Articles cannot contain plagiarism or auto-plagiarism. In case of detection of occurrence before publication, the submission will be rejected automatically; and if there is a complaint of detection of plagiarism or auto-plastering after publication, the work will be immediately withdrawn from the site and no longer available to readers.
