This project proposes, through Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), to analyze how the image of the character Superman is constructed as a product created by the mass media in the film “Superman, the movie” released in 1978. The cinema is one of the greatest pillars of entertainment and capable of significantly influencing human life. Present in many moments and areas of everyday life, in a society with a capitalist economic model, cinematographic content becomes a commodity to win over the general public with an attractive narrative. To achieve the objective of this project, it is necessary to identify how the image of this superhero aimed at mass consumption is constructed.
