ILHAS DE LIBERDADE: A POLÍTICA PRESENTE NAS PRÁTICAS DE JUSTIÇA RESTAURATIVA
Abstract
The space of restorative practices seen as islands of freedom is based primarily on Hannah Arendt's political theory, as well as on the theoretical construct surrounding Restorative Justice. As an object of study, circular processes and their characteristics correspond to a form of emancipatory political organization to be analyzed. The general objective of this research is to bring together the philosophy of political theorist Hannah Arendt and recent studies on circular processes used in Restorative Justice. The specific objectives are to highlight the relevant concepts present in Arendt's theory and in the work of Restorative Justice theorists such as Elizabeth Elliot and Howard Zehr. The main results of this research were the problematization of spaces of freedom today and the potential of circular processes in contemporary times.
