IDEOLOGIA E SOLIDÃO – ATUALIDADE DE HANNAH ARENDT

Abstract

The text briefly revisits the concepts of ideology and loneliness present in Origins of totalitarianism. He goes on to demonstrate the currentness of the author's reflections on these concepts and points to the fact that they still figure as important categories for thinking about the challenges of our time. Regarding ideology, Arendtian definition of logic of an idea is highlighted, that is, about the cold and procedural form of deduction unrelated to the contradictions of the reality of the facts. In the case of loneliness, when thinking about the political relationship it has in Arendt's text, the emphasis falls on the figure, explored by totalitarian regimes, from a non-place.
