A DIMENSÃO REPUBLICANA DO “DIREITO A TER DIREITO” EM HANNAH ARENDT

Abstract

This text’s purpose is to present the thesis, according to which, Hannah Arendt's understanding of “the right to have rights” is closely related to the defense of politics in its republican and democratic sense. We argue that Arendt's critique of human rights is alligned with her political proposal to ensure citizens the right to participation and public happiness through republican institutions.
