This work represents the schematic structure of the development of the academic doctoral thesis. It has the objective of relating the political conception of the human condition elaborated by the political scientist Hannah Arendt (1906 - 1975) as a foundation for understanding the condition of black people in Brazil. The methodological construction envisages taking the analysis of the text of The Human Condition within the didactic structure, which composes it, and establishing a reflection on the condition of black people in the public and private spheres, labor, work, action, vita activa and the era Modern; interrelating them with the thought of the black thinker Manuel Querino (1851 – 1923). From this study, it is intended to consolidate the political conception of the black citizen as an active agent and protagonist in the social, political and economic formation of the Brazilian nation.
